The patient developed numerous, small and then confluent wounds on the skin of the face, mainly around the eye sockets and on the cheeks.

Girl with relapsed ALCL (anaplastic large cell lymphoma), primary lesion in the left temporal region

  • at the age of 10 underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from a HLA matched sister
  • at the age of 12 was diagnosed with steroid resistant, extensive chronic graft versus host disease (cGVHD) with scleroderma involving >60% of skin area
  • Currently treated pharmacologically (ruxolitinib) and with extracorporeal photoheresis (ECP)
